As a vlogger, I have always been passionate about cameras. I started with a Canon Powershot Tx1 or something which I don’t remember.

The camera was something like the one shown above. This was when I was just learning to shoot videos and edit.
When I started vlogging and working on Youtube, I started with the Canon G7X Mark 1 then the Canon 80D, then Canon 200D, then Canon EOS R, then the Canon EOS R5 and in-between the GoPros and the Osmo Pockets. For the last one year I have been using the Osmo Pocket 3 and the Action 4 which was used most of the time. The best one I have is the EOS R5.
Reasons for me to get the Canon Powershot V1
- Clog 3 Vs the Dlog M – I always shoot in log format as I always want to do color grading in post. I was using Final Cut Pro earlier, but now I use the Davinci Resolve Studio which is great for post production.
- Builtin ND filter – To use a ND filter on DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is a pain, I always hated to break the shutter speed rule to manage outdoor bright lights.
- Compact with good quality Videos – Its small and gives you what you need for your YouTube videos.
- Size – Even though the Osmo pocket 3 is very compact, sometimes it’s hard to quickly change any settings, but this Powershot V1 has better physical buttons.
- Lens with Zoom – The biggest problem for me was the zoom option for the Osmo Pocket 3
- Good Mic – Yes the builtin Mic is amazing
This is the first video I posted completely shot on the Canon Powershot V1
