Quicktime Pro for editing and compressing video files

I have been experimenting different tricks to compress video files for web sharing or posting video to my blog posts. If your video file is not optimized then its difficult to load on a web page and need more time to buffer. Video files when compressed compromises with the quality of the video. I came across Quicktime Pro which is an excellent tool and a must have for bloggers who do video posts.

With Quicktime Pro, you can edit videos, save in different formats, export to different mobile formats and even save as HD video. Quicktime Pro is not free, but need to pay US$ 29.95 for getting the registration code. First you need to download Quicktime which is free and register for the Pro version. Once you get the registration code, there is no installation involved, your need to enter the registration key using this procedure

Advantages of Quicktime Pro

I have uploaded a video which I created using Quicktime Pro. The quality of the video is good as well the size of the video is reduced to less than 10% of the original video size. The sound quality is maintained, I have changed to mono

These are the settings that I have used. It gives good quality video as well as the compression is good.

This video is done without audio and I find the file size has reduced considerably. Adding the audio especially with stereo settings increases the size of the video. If you know a better settings with audio and reduced file size, please let me know.

Audio is sometimes important for video to give more effect to the video. Youtube has recently introduced the annotation for video which is still a beta version. In annotation, you can add text information to the selected frames.

This video is with audio and the size is bit big. It may take more time to load and even the buffering time will be more

If you know better settings, please post it as a comment.
